I Can't Believe it's November!

I have to keep reminding myself that we're in the middle of creating something from nothing (Well, not us. Larry Mullally and his crew are putting it all together). Whenever we get flustered, he and Dennis Odin Johnson (Natural Spaces Domes) are there to remind us that it will be alright and to just enjoy the ride. That was beginning to prove difficult when the nighttime temperatures began to drop and we were living in a travel trailer. Our neighbors generously offered their house for us to stay in (It's their lake house).

We had signed a contract in October of 2020 with a well company out of Albuquerque and gave a down payment with their promise that we would have a well by July. By the end of September, still no well and coming into crunch time. Our next door neighbors (yes, the same ones whos house we are staying in) have agreed to let us share their well! It's fairly common out here to have several families on one well, but this is above and beyond!! We have chosen a great place to live!

Our dome kits are taking a little longer than expected, but again, it's OK. Our permits slowed down building because our MinneDome sat centered on the property lines between our two 5-acre lots, so we needed a survey to combine the lots. When we received the survey, we also noticed that the neighbor behind us built a fence across our property. That needed to be dealt with! We're in the process of having a fence installed there.

Tracy dug a 500' trench for the well without hitting bedrock. The Flintstones are thankful.
Right before our rocky and rough area is prepared for building.
It looks sooooo tiny!! Well, it is for the MinneDome.
He got lost on the way in. Hopefully he will know where we are from now on.
Installing the forms.
The plumber needs to plumb in, then we will get going on the foundation with the radiant floors. Dennis will be sending the kits out shortly.
Cindy checking out the property lines.
So, we got this to help with landscaping and soon discovered that the path behind the house is to be a walking path. We got stuck on the way up and had to learn how to use the winch!
